Waved Nod Hairstyle

With the nod in 2011 being generally longer and softer, it's much easier to pull off a waved style with it. While 40s-inspired pin curls are one option, here's one that's more suited to everyday. A casual, textured, beachy wave.

How to create the waved nod

We caught up with ghd at the 2011 AFI Awards as they created a beachy wave on actress Caitlin Stasey. Here are the steps from Heading Out Hair's Caterina DiBiase, working exclusively with ghd, for how you can recreate the style.

1.Work in ghd Maximise Mousse all through the hair, then dry in.

2.Section off the hair then use your ghd Salon Styler to create some loose, semi-curls (they need to have bend, but not be fully curly). Start curling a few inches down from the roots.

3.Spray the hair with ghd Sea Spray to create a relaxed, beachy texture.

4.Finally, blast the hair with a hair dryer to break it up.

Difference between a skin Toner and an Astringent

These days everybody wants to be look superior at all time. In order to get that, we should take care of our skin. We should make sure that it’s always clean, free from dirt and free from overload oil. That's why we use a lot of goods. Many of us use toners and astringents. Some people are little confused about the dissimilarity between toners and astringents because, although they are similar, But some factors that difference them from each other:

Toner:
Toners are more suitable for use on dry or sensitive skin because they don't contain harsh chemicals or alcohol that can dry or irritate the skin. They are generally used to , keep the skin hydrated and well moisturized, clarify the skin, refresh tired complexions, reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve skin tone, and restore the skin's natural pH balance.

Toners are used on the skin after washing the face. Toners are mild and that they can be used every day. Toners are made with ingredients such as salicylic acid, witch hazel, and benzyl peroxide and often contain no harsh chemicals or alcohol.

Astringent:
Astringents are more suitable for  oily or combination skin. Since the alcohol in astringents helps to remove excess oil and dirt on the skin, it aids in giving the skin a matte appearance. Astringents are not recommended to use in a daily basis because it can dry out our skin. Astringents are designed to fight pimples or acne that’s why they are supposedly stronger than toners.

Astringents can tighten the skin's pores and help reduce acne by controlling oils and removing impurities that usually lead to blemishes and breakouts. Additionally, astringents work by removing dead skin cells, dirt and makeup.

Astringents basically contain the same ingredients as toners, but unlike toners, astringents are either chemical-based or alcohol-based and sometimes come in medicated formulations. they don't need to be used after washing the face since they work by removing oil and dirt.

Information For Oily Skin to Look Fresh

Apply oil-free skin care products to decrease the oil in your hygiene routine. After washing your skin use oil-free lotions and moisturizers, then apply some loose powder instead. This will keep your skin feeling refreshed and moisturized without leaving behind greasy residue. You can also use an astringent containing acetone to further dry you skin (be careful not to use too much astringent if you have sensitive skin).

Always try to choose oil-free make-up to prevent and get rid of your oily skin. Don't use a lot of liquid-based foundation, congealer, blush, or eye-shadow. Choose powder-based products, or products containing acne medication, instead. These will work to dry up excess oil and treat your pores at the same time. try a mineral foundation. It lasts much longer and won't dramatically change your appearance if it fades.
